DAEDALUS: THE LOST WINGS
TxTPED's Spring 2022 Escape Room

TxTPED had about four months to complete our spring 2022 project. The Daedalus story, puzzle design, art, props, electrical and magnetic, structural, and lighting elements all came together with the help of TxTPED's diverse member and volunteer group. With students specializing in all different fields, we created an immersive experience and made some fun memories. We hope that all who entered Daedalus' workshop had as much fun as we did bringing it to life!

FIND THE LEGENDARY WINGS OF DAEDALUS

The gods had previously thought that king Minos burned down Daedalus’ workshop in anger, but Daedalus actually rigged his shop to destroy itself 45 min after he left. Athena realizes that Daedalus must have left behind something that he couldn't allow Minos to have: an extra pair of wings. Being the Goddess of craft and wisdom, Athena wants the wings but cannot intervene herself as it would draw too much attention from the gods of that time. You mortals are her next best plan, and, with Iris’ help, she sends you back with 45 min to get the wings for her or to die trying.
